My friend and I went into this sushi restaurant completely spontaneously and ended up having the most wonderful evening. The sushi was incredibly delicious, and the prices were very fair and absolutely reasonable. The salmon sashimi was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had — so fresh, so flavorful, just perfect. The service was also extremely friendly and welcoming. We were chatting for so long that we completely lost track of time and didn’t even realize we were there past closing. Nobody said a word or rushed us out — they simply let us enjoy our evening, which we appreciated so much. Truly such a kind and lovely place. We will definitely be back!

Nestled in the heart of Paris at 35 Rue Gay-Lussac, Tsuru stands out as a beacon for lovers of authentic sushi and Japanese cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere invites you to unwind and savor the experience. What strikes you first is the freshness of the seafood — the salmon sashimi, in particular, is a revelation. Its texture is silky, its flavor pure and vibrant, a true marker of quality that speaks to Tsuru’s dedication to sourcing the finest ingredients.

But Tsuru is much more than just exceptional sushi. The set menus offer an excellent balance of choice, quality, and affordability, making it a perfect spot for both spontaneous visits and planned dining. The service complements the food beautifully: friendly, attentive, and unobtrusive, creating a warm environment where you feel welcome to linger and enjoy the evening without rush.

What resonates most with me is the genuine hospitality that permeates the place. Customers often mention feeling so comfortable that they lose track of time — a rare and valuable sentiment in the bustling Parisian dining scene. Whether it’s the carefully prepared maki rolls or the delicate sashimi presentation, every dish reflects Tsuru’s craftsmanship and respect for tradition.

In short, Tsuru offers a harmonious blend of fresh, flavorful dishes and a sincere, relaxed dining atmosphere. It’s a destination that promises both culinary satisfaction and a heartfelt experience — a must-visit for anyone seeking quality Japanese fare in Paris.
